Shadow Lounge is known for delicious food, great martinis and jazz bands every weekend. Head down to Hertel for a terrific meal and live music at Shadow. Recently, we stopped in for an awesome dinner. Starting out with the Spicy Shrimp Saute, jumbo shrimp with peppers, onions, and lime served with Chipotle Garlic Bread. Next came the Buffalo Shrimp Salad with Buffalo style shrimp, baby greens, julienne vegetables, bleu cheese dressing - a salad big enough for two or as a meal in itself. The entrees included the day's special of Pan Seared Salmon as well as a Baked Cod with tomato, rosemary & lemon available daily on the regular menu. The desserts at Shadow change on a regular basis. This time, we were treated to a Mexican Brownie Sundae with ancho chile chocolate gelato - a spicy twist on the usual - with what can only be described as an aftertaste of "fireball" candy. Later, we enjoyed live jazz by the JJ Swing Band playing to a packed and lively crowd.
